They're Real!

Ok, so a friend of mine showed me this instagram picture of this eyeliner that's supposed to come out at the end of June. So being the eyeliner freak that I am, I had to pre-order it so that I can test it out sooner rather than later! Here's the 411:

What: BENEFIT COSMETICS "They're Real! Push-Up Eyeliner"
How Much: $24

Here's what it says on the Benefit website:

Why we love it!

It’s the FIRST EVER lash-hugging gel liner in a pen! This matte black gel formula won’t smudge, budge or dry out, and the innovative soft AccuFlex™ Tip hugs your lashline from corner to corner. The closer the line, the bigger the eye!

91% said it was longwearing*
81% said it was waterproof*
88% said it hugged the lashline*
84% said eyes looked visibly larger*
*Results observed in a consumer panel survey on 32 women after 2 weeks

How to apply

Twist base once to “push up” gel liner to tip. Resting the AccuFlex™ tip on the base of your lashes, slowly guide along your lashline from the inner or outer corner. The angled AccuFlex™ tip works both ways.

*For first-time use, remove and discard tip protector. Activate they’re real! push-up liner by twisting base until gel is delivered to tip. Wipe any excess on tissue.

Details

1.4 g Net wt. 0.04 oz.

Beauty tip

Double the REAL! Wear they’re real! push-up liner and they’re real! mascara together for beyond longer lashes AND bigger-looking eyes.

Perfect Sandal

Stuart Weitzman "Nudist" High Heel Sandal $385

Bloomingdale's

Bloomingdale's

What I love about these?
  • the simplicity of them: single toe strap, single ankle strap
  • coverage of the heel up the the ankle, making it more stable
  • 1/2 inch platform
Why would I never get them?
  • i have ugly, wide feet so it would just look bad. trust me haha

Happy Mother's Day, Y'all!

Getting ready for school in the morning... bedhead hair sticking up and pant-less. THAT'S MY BOY! My absolute favorite person in the world! Mommy loves you so much!

Best hubby and baby-daddy! Happy mother's day to me! Thank you for this great life you've provided for R and me. I can be mushy here on my blog because he will never read it. I don't like to show it, but I secretly love and appreciate my baby-daddy. Shhhh, don't tell him! AHAHAHAHAHAH.

Bobbi Brown via QVC

Bobbi Brown Touch-Up Palette is supposedly only available on QVC.com but in this day and age, surely you'd be able to find it somewhere on the world wide web. They sell it for $58,  and this is what the stock picture looks like:

QVC $58
The palette includes:
  • 0.05 oz Foundation Stick
  • 0.03 oz Creamy Concealer
  • 0.03 oz Corrector
  • 0.07 oz Sheer Finish Powder
  • Dual-ended Mini Brush
  • Foundation stick/brush/powder imported
Pretty much everything you need for the face in travel friendly package. The palette case is about 2.5" by 2.5", so it's pretty tiny. Standard makeup brushes won't work on this palette unless you don't mind getting the edges all messy. Your fingers are the best tool for this palette for sure.

Overall, it's an interesting concept to have everything face related in a tiny package, and I like it for putting on my face while on the bus commute to work. However, the amount you receive for the price is not worth it in my opinion. I bought it, I like it, and I'll use it. But I won't repurchase it when it runs out...probably... but I reserve the right to change my mind later... because I'm a sucker... especially for palettes.

Happy Hump Day!

NEW EYELINER

BOBBI BROWN $24
New eyeliner from BB- Perfectly Defined Gel Eyeliner. Comes in 6 different colors:
- Chocolate Truffle: a rich brown
- Pitch Black: the blackest black
- Sapphire: a rich navy
- Scotch: a gold bronze with shimmer
- Steel Grey: a grey with subtle shimmer
- Violet Night: a black purple with shimmer

All the colors sound really pretty and wearable in my opinion. I'll probably be trying the chocolate truffle, because I'm kinda obsessed with brown liners right now.

Supposedly this pencil is sweat and humidity resistant, but I'll be the judge of that.

According to BobbiBrown.com, the "Perfectly Defined Gel Eyeliner" is the, "Portable Pencil Version Of Our #1 Selling Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner." hmmmmm... Is it really? As opposed to the "Long Wear Eye Pencil" that is, "for those who want the benefits of Bobbi's Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in pencil form.So does this mean that BB makes 3 versions of their gel liner: original, pencil, and twist up? I don't understand it, but i'm a sucker so i'll probably end up trying it. Don't judge me... LOL

YOU SUCK!

THE SUCKIEST LIQUID LINER EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

SEPHORA $23

SERIOUSLY THE WORST LIQUID LINER I HAVE EVER USED!

According to sephora.com with my comments in red:
What it is:
A waterproof liquid eyeliner (NOPE- COMES OFF EASILY WITH Q-TIP AND WATER) for intense non-stop color.

What it does:
Rich in polymers, this superior eyeliner offers an impeccable hold that guarantees water-, tear-, and smudge-proof color (SMUDGE PROOF, MAYBE. DOESNT REALLY SMUDGE, BUT FLAKES OFF SO YOU HAVE BLACK SPECKS ALL OVER THE TOP OF YOUR CHEEKS WHICH IS EQUALLY SUCKY). Its ergonomic, foam-tip applicator is designed to resemble a makeup brush handle for the quickest, easiest, and most accurate application (AND HARD AS HELL AND KINDA HURTS YOUR LID WHEN APPLYING MULTIPLE LAYERS)

What else you need to know:
Waterproof, highly pigmented, and smudge-proof, the Aqua collection of long-lasting lip and eye colors was created for the Parisian Aquatic Ballet. Tested under water for five hours, Make Up For Ever’s longest wearing makeup has an extensive palette of high-performance colors with non-stop results. This product is fragrance free and ophthalmologist tested. BLAH BLAH BLAH STILL SUCKS

Ok, sorry for the lack of vocabulary, but seriously the only word I can think of this moment is "sucks". I do not recommend this product at all!

Make Up Forever Aqua Rouge

Sephora $24
Per Sephora:

What it is:
A liquid lip color that provides the intense and long-lasting hold of a lip stain with the eye-catching shine of a gloss.

What it does:
Formulated with a combination of high molecular weight polymers and volatile oils, Aqua Rouge locks color on the lips for a smudge-proof result that will not transfer or fade. Its intensely pigmented formula provides immediate, opaque color with extreme shine, and its creamy, non-sticky texture glides effortlessly on the lips for comfortable wear.

What else you need to know:
Aqua Rouge’s double-ended packaging allows for a simple, two-step application: apply lip color with precision using the ergonomic, foam applicator and evenly distribute the clear top with the polyester brush to lock the color onto the lips.

Suggested Usage:
-For best results, line and fill in the lips with Aqua Lip. Apply Aqua Rouge color to the center of the lips and blend outward.
-Finish with Aqua Rouge clear top coat for a lacquered effect.

I'm very interested in a lip product that lasts all day without touch ups.  I'm not one to reapply because of my chronic laziness so I am very eager to test this out. Sephora at Memorial City Mall has a set with 6 colors on sale for $98! This set is sold out online and originally costs $140. This is an amazing deal, as the set includes:

Six Full Size Aqua Rouges with coordinating Lip Liners:
1. 16 Fuchsia
2. 18 Coral
3. 2 Rosewood
4. 14 Light Rosewood
5. 10 Raspberry
6. 8 Red

$98 for 12 full size products! That's a steal! If you're thinking about scooping it up, you need to hurry.  It looked like there were only 5 boxes left. They're located at the cash register area, just FYI.

Hate Loubs but...

Ok, seriously hate Loubs... They're totally hot and gorgeous, but they make you want to cut off 2 toes.  I refuse to pay $600+ for something that looks good but I can't wear for more than 20 minutes.  I'll invest in Manolos and Choos which are much more wearable/comfortable and just as pretty on my feet.

HOWEVER, I may make an exception for these bad boys... Ok, no I won't pay $1,000+ for flats, but they are pretty sick.  I especially LOVE the black ones with multi metal studs.
